The year 2025 has begun and with it comes an important opportunity for all of us who are involved in the management and therapeutics of advanced heart and lung disease to rededicate ourselves to the needs of our patients. The burden of both cardiac and pulmonary failure continues to rise in our country, and it is our responsibility to ensure that timely detection, early referral and evidence-based therapy are made available to every individual who needs it.
Today, the Society for Heart Failure & Transplantation brings together clinicians who actively manage advanced heart and lung failure using a range of therapies such as CRT, LVAD, ECMO and Cardiac/Lung Transplantation. Our combined experience and collaboration play a crucial role in improving outcomes and advancing the standards of care for these critically ill patients.
Let us continue to work together to promote the prevention, early identification, and advanced management of heart and lung failure, and to strengthen access to lifesaving therapeutics across the country.
